Converting Microsoft Publisher 98 or 97 into Publisher 2003

I've seen a similar question posed, but the answer did not work. So I'll pose
the question.

I have Publisher 2003. A client has Publisher 97 or 98 and sent me files. Of
course, Publisher 2003 says it cannot open a different Publisher version.

I do not have Norton Antivirus. I have Panda Platinum and have disabled
script blocking as well as the entire antivirus program to see if I would be
able to open file. Alas, I have not.

Any help would be much appreciated.

If the creator of the document has used a wizard or a lot of WordArt you may have
this issue. Try this, open your Publisher, view, pictures, hide pictures. Disable
your printer before opening the Publisher program.

If you still cannot open the files, send one of them to me, I will open it in the
correct version and try to find the problem.

In addition, if the sender has NAV, that too can cause problems with the
files they are sending.
