Converting MSWord to MAC 5 - help

Hi All
I need help converting (save as etc.) my MSWord 2003 doc for use with
MAC 5. Is there a plug-in or converter I can download and use? My
version of Office does not have a converter built in, and Microsoft
pointed me here for assistance.

The only product I know of that might work is

You'll have to check the supported applications to see if it will work for
your situation.

Hi Paul,

I was assuming that by MAC 5 you meant an early version of Word for the Mac.
If it's something else, what I said might not apply at all.

Word 2003 does not need anything extra to save as Word 5.1 for Mac: just
save the document as Word 6/95 for the PC format.

You may have to install the Additional Text Converters if you did not do a
full install of Word 2003.

Hi Paul,

Check Word's preferences. There's a compatibility tab. You can choose
from several different presets or make your own with regard to backward
compatibility.
