Converting Office 2007

I downloaded the trial version of Office 2007 and decided within the 60 day
trial period (expiration date is 7/31). I did not want the full Office
package so I purchased Office Outlook 2007 only. I have run the install disk
yet when I open outlook it still says "Microsoft Outlook non-commercial use
(Trial)" at the top. I am concerned that I am still operating on the trial
version and that when it expires I will lose all of my history. How can I
verify if the Outlook I installed from CD replaced the trial version and that
I have saved all of my history?

You should have uninstalled the trial first. Try uninstalling the trial and
Outlook, then reinstall Outlook again. That should do it.

Thank you! One more question -- when I uninstall the trial version will the
history be picked up when new cd is installed again?

If you can remove 2007 trial from Add Remove Programs in the Control Panel then all your files will
remain intact. It is also a good idea to back them up, WinZip or Nero, even copy them to a different
location, just to curb any worries.

If you cannot uninstall from Add Remove Progs, there's the manual method as mentioned in numerous
posts or my favourite - Format & Reinstall (g)

I've removed or uninstalled Microsoft Office 2007 Trial because I don't want
it. But the problem was that I cannot get my original Office 2003 suite back
(everything with Office 2003, Access, Excel, Powerpoint, etc). They are all
gone! Just because this (argh) Microsoft Office 2007 Trial rolled over my
Office 2003 Suite, I've attempted to do system restore many times, even
earlier dates before Microsoft Office 2007 Trial was installed but
unsuccessful. I don't even have CDs softwares when the softwares were
originally installed inside my pc when I bought it. Why won't System Restore
"cannot be completed" or Incomplete..reason for that??? Can my original
softwares be retrieved in my pc? ~Vivi
