Converting parallel columns to a Word Table

S

Steve Finlayson

I have several documents that were created in WordPerfect using the parallel
column format. Is there any way to convert these files to a two column table
format. I need to preserve the look and feel of the two column format but would
like to see if there is a quick or easy way to do this. Currently I am copying
it to Word, converting it to a table and then merging the paragraphs and moving
them to the column they need to be in. Then I have to remove the empty cells. It
is certianly not efficient.

Any help appreciated.
Thanks
Steve

You might look into the CrossEyes program (I think). It converts from WP to
Word and may do what you need. Consider sending them a sample document to
process or downloading their trial version and checking it out. Sorry, I
don't have a link for you.

Yes, you are correct. Just getting a little cross-eyed myself sometimes.
