Can anyone tell me how or if a powerpoint presentation can be converted to pdf format so that the notes pages are viewable in the converted document?

Go2pdf will install a virtual PDF Printer which works with most, if not all
Office Apps. You do need to be careful about elaborate animations and such,
but we had pretty good results with our ppts. There is a trial download so
you can see if it will suffice for you. Sorry I've lost the URL, but if you
Google for it I'm sure it will come up.

Print to PDF using one of the standard tools. Either print in Handout view,
or print slides, notes separately and combine them later into a single PDF.
