What type of Adobe file? There's a lot of them.

Assuming PDF; if you have Adobe Acrobat or one of the free PDF creators
(CutePDF, PrimoPDF etc...) you would PRINT to the creator.

If you have installed MS PDF add-in you would Publish as pdf in Publisher.
File | Publish as PDF or XPS...and this may also depend on WHAT version of
Publisher you have.

So?,,,,exactly what are you trying to do, and which version of Publisher do
you have?

Acrobat PDF? What version Publisher? Do you have Acrobat?
File, print, Adobe PDF.
If you don't have Acrobat try a third party converter such as www.primopdf.com

Chris,

Adobe Acrobat has an option: "...Print Color As Black (Windows) Forces all
nonwhite color to print as black. This option is useful for printing
engineering drawings that have lightly colored lines...."

Can the font you are using be embedded? There is a check-off on the advanced
button about bitmap conversion of fonts.

I have Rockwell and I created a PDF with no problems. Open a new instance of
Publisher, setup the printer first as Adobe PDF. Copy/paste the text from the
original publication to the new. Try the PDF again.
Adobe is offering three free conversions, maybe you could try that.
