Converting Time-Date code to MM/DD/YY

In column H I have links from another table giving a date
(MM/DD/YY) In column S I am adding several columns
together =d6&e6&h6&I6&j6 but h6 converts from MM/DD/YY to
a time date code. I am at a loss to stop this!!!! Any
help hugelly appreciated. Thank you.
