>> Converting to MS Sql back end

Hi, we have a bunch of applications that were first developed in access
version 97. Most are now converted to version 2003. However, the code in
these applications have generally not been changed to reflect the 4.0 db
engine. For a number of reasons we would like to move from having ms access
as the back end file type to ms sql.

I would like pointers/suggestions/recommendations for methodology to migrate
to ms sql. In particular I would like to optimise each application to run on
ms sql. It is the aim to optimise each application that I would like the most
assistance.

Any ideas and suggestions appreciated :)

Many thanks
Jonathan

Read Mary Chipman's and Andy Baron's book, "Microsoft Access Developer's
Guide to SQL Server." It's a five-star book at Amazon.com for a very good
reason.

You're welcome, Jonathan. It's a good read but a long one so find a
comfortable chair and some hot tea before you sit down and read it!
