Converting web created in Pub 2002 to Frontpage 2002

Greetings!

I created a website - very simple site - in Publisher 2002. I now
want to move it over to Frontpage so that I can easily edit it and add
to it as time goes by.

I can't get the htm pages to stop opening up in Publisher. I created a
new web and I supposedly converted all the pages from the Publisher
file into a new web.

Am I hosed? Is there a way to get the Pub files converted to regular
htm and make this process work?

As a sidebar, my friend did import the web into Dreamweaver and then
told me that because of the way the web was created, I would never be
able to edit the web globally - and that every time I added or
subtracted a page, I would have to make the changes on all 15 pages.
Not to mention, Dreamweaver is above my head and I just can't make it
work without the sensation of drowning :)

So, I want to use Frontpage and I am hoping that one of you can help :)

Thank you in advance for any and all guidance.

Regards,
Kate

You will have to pretty much build it over in FrontPage. The code that is
generated by Publisher is so different, that importing it into FrontPage
doesn't work well. But that isn't to say that you can't open your Publisher
file alongside of Frontpage, and do some copy and pasting of text and other
design elements.

Thank you David. I figured as much. Doh! I should have just done in
there in the first place. Well, off to the drawing board.

Happy Thanksgiving - and thank you for taking time to write.

Regards,
Kate
