I use Word 2003 to create software manuals and Adobe Acrobat to
convert them to PDF docs, because it also converts the TOC to bookmark
links and all cross-references to links in the PDF doc. I've used Acrobat
for this purpose successfully until now!
Recently, using Acrobat 7.09, I successfully converted a 50-page doc
with all links However, when I convert the manual that is 200+ pages, the
bookmarks are created but the cross-references are not converted to links.
I've converted this same doc previously and all the links were fine.
I've tried un-installing and re-installing Acrobat, even
going back a couple of versions. I haven't tried Version 8 yet.
If anyone has any suggestions, I'd appreciate it. I
software in the meantime.
