Converting

I created a word document that has 5 columns (budget doc.), and I would like
to import/convert this information into Excel. I don't want to have to
retype everything in Excel all over again. Does anyone know if this is
possible?

Sure. If they are in a Word table, then just copy the table. Switch to
Excel. Select the cell where you want the table to start and then paste.

Unfortunately, the information is not in a word table. The numbers and text
are just in columns without set tabs. I made the table before I knew how to
create tables and create tabs. Am I going to have to re-enter the
information?

No, you probably are not. Again, copy the table information, switch to
Excel, and paste. Everything is now probably in one Excel column. Now Go to
the data menu and select text to columns. This will probably get you close
to what you need. You may have to edit some stuff, and maybe delete some
cells if you used many spaces instead of tabs in Word.
