Cool reporting

Luke Bellamy

Hi - does anyone know of an add-in for Access that can produce really
cool reports? It would most likely be for graphs.

The reason I ask is that some customers have been complaining that
the reports I produce in straight Access are bland.
I'm not a novice so my reports are not badly designed and I can add
some basic colours to spruce it up but someone may know a tool
that can help.

Thankyou,

Actually, Access is one of the best, if not the best, reporting tool. If
you'd like you can use automation with Excel to enhance the graphs, or use
outside images. There are some pretty neat reports you can do in straight
Access though. I have a client, another developer, who uses Access with
ClickBooks to create entire books of reports:

Bugger! I had shortlisted that exact same FrontPage template for another
website I'm going to build.

Hi Luke,

May I suggest that you download Steema Software's TeeChart Pro v7
ActiveX Control Evalution version which has a fully coded example of
how to incorporate charts into Access Reports.

Download the Evaluation version from:
http://www.steema.com/downloads/dwn_tch_ax.html

The Access Report examples are under:
TeeChart Pro v7 ActiveX Control\Examples\MSOffice\VBA Access

Export the query to Excel and let the client jazz things up.
