Due to reasons not relevant to this discussion, I had to create a new,
additional profile in Outlook 2007. I named it Work.
The original profile, named Outlook, I decided I wanted to rename. Since you
can't rename a profile, I decided to copy it using the new name I chose.
The copy operation went without incident and all email, contacts, calendar
items, etc. copied over to the copied profile just fine.
However, when I click To in an email, there are no contacts showing. The
Contacts folder is there as I can click on the folder link on the left of the
Outlook window and the contacts are all there.
First thing I did was check to see if the box was checked to use it as an
email address book. It was not checked but it was grayed out so I couldn't
check it.
I then went to Tools | Account Settings | Address Books tab. Outlook Address
Book is listed so I didn't need to add that. It wouldn't let me remove it
though at the Remove link is grayed out.
So just how do I get my Contacts list associated with this profile to be
able to use it?
