copy a page from a publication template to existing file

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)

I created a brochure using a template and originally decided to delete the last page. Now I want to add that page from the template back into my current file, but I cannot figure out how to do this. I tried to simply open a new file with the entire template and slide the last page into my new file, but of course that didn't work. Is this possible or do I need to start over with the full template?
