Copy a Visio drawing maintaining box sizes and shapes

How do I copy a drawing/chart that started out as an organizational chart
from one file to another? I am trying to combine into one file several files
that contain monthly updated versions of a chart. The shape sizes are
manually set so when I copy and paste the drawing, Visio resets all the
shapes and distorts the original drawing.

are you using paste or paste special? Understand that the apparent size of
the objects is relative to the page size the come from and go to. (the small
fish in a small pond problem).
