Copy and Paste - Formatting on Paste Reverts to Visio Default

We're trying to copy/paste a diagram built using an inhouse stencil/shapes.
We've completed numerous diagrams with multiple documents.

We just noticed that PageX needs to be moved from DocB to DocA. Both docs
were built and designed with our inhouse stencil and shapes. What we've done
is:
1. In DocA, create a blank sheet named Page1
2. Flipped over to DocB
3. Went to PageX, right clicked and selected "Copy Drawing"
4. Flipped back to DocA and on Sheet1, pasted the drawing.

The result: the default blue shaded controls that are the default visio
colors/controls. (ex of changes - our shapes are transparent/white with no
corner to corner shading; our lines have rounded corner, etc. - visio default
has blue shaded faded from corner to corner for colors and the lines are not
rounded at the corners).

So, any ideas as to why the formatting reverts to the default?

We've tried Paste Special (all options) and none have resulted in what we're
looking to accomplish. Yes, we could simply recreate page manually, but we'll
eventually have to copy pages between documents again, so may as well resolve
it now.

Really appreciate any help/direction on this.

Would you care to try out our utilities, the address is in the sig
below.
It can do a page copy/duplicate and it copies over all known
shape/page attributes. It might fix the problem.
