Copy and Paste from e-mail or website

When I copy text from e-mail or a web site and then open Word 2003 I can not
paste the text...I must go back to the source and recopy then paste into Word.

Is this a bug or is there a setting that will allow copying and pasting when
I open Word after I copied the text?

Hi, focuspuller. You probably have a Word add-in that clears the Windows
clipboard when it is loaded. See
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customization/CheckIfAddinsInstalled.htm for more
info. If you can tell us what add-ins are installed, we can probably tell
you which one is causing the problems. Also click on Start | Control Panel |
Add/Remove Programs... do you see an entry in the list of installed programs
for Works Suite Add-in for Word?

Thanks for the quick reply....
There are no add-ins when I check Word/tools/templates and add-ins..

There is the entry for Works Suite Add-in for Word....

Do I need to remove this?

The Works Suite Add-in for Word lets you do a mailmerge in Word using a Works
database data source. Do you need this functionality? The add-in does clear
the Windows clipboard when it loads, and it loads automatically when you
start Word. So if you need the add-in, then you'll have to remember to start
Word before you start copying and pasting. If you don't need the add-in,
uninstall it to fix your copying and pasting problem.

THANKS....
Not only did it work for the copy and paste...WORD now loads faster....

MS should do a fix for this....

Thanks again...
