Copy and paste Spreadsheet into Word

Hi ... is there anyone out there that can tell me if (and how, if so) it is possible to copy a potion of a spreadsheet into word and keep the format. I did this on a PC with no problem and I'm wondering why It doesn't work on the MAC. The Spreadsheet will copy but it becomes all condensed leaving out blank column and spaces. - Thanks

I don't see anything of the sort here.

Please describe exactly how you're going about it ‹ step-by-step. Are you
pasting as a table, worksheet object, picture...?

Do you have Office fully updated (12.1.5)?

Also, how much Excel content are you copying relative to the page size of
your Word document? What do you mean by "...blank column and spaces"?

Sorry .. I just realized that I miss-spoke about the problem. It's not with word .. it's the copy into an e-mail(entourage) that I'm having the problem with. I'm sorry for the confusion but I'm new to the MAC and getting myself a bit out of sorts. I've done this on the PC from Excel to Outlook and have had no problems. I'm up to date on all software. I'm cutting about 10 columns and 20 rows and they are becoming compressed together instead of maintaining they're format.

Outlook enables pasting as a Table which isn't supported in Entourage - nor
any other mail client I know of. The integrity of the data is not
compromised, it just doesn't display in a columnar fashion.
