Copy and Paste

Word has worked fine for me until today. I can't copy and paste an
email from Apple's Mail into a new Word blank page. The ball just keeps
spinning and nothing happens. Any suggestions? I have a G5 and 10.4.

I've had this a few times when the "loginwindow" process had crashed
(silently) in my Mac.
Loginwindow is part of the system and usually rebooting the Mac
corrected the problem. Did you try rebooting??

Tried it but it did not help. I wish I knew what caused this change.

ANY email or ONE PARTICULAR email?

Try Edit>Paste Special>Unformatted Text

That may not work, but the change in error message will tell us what's
wrong.

I tried your suggestion and it worked. I also did a Copy and Paste and
it also worked. This problem is solved for now. Thanks for all the
recommendations from the folks on this group.
