copy and pasting project to excel

copy/paste the row number

i'm wondering how i can see the microsoft project row number in an excel
copy/paste? any ideas would be great.

by default if you block rows of tasks and copy into excel the task I
numbers will be blank in your sheet.

One way arround this is to add an additional ID column to your vie
prior to copying.

Select the indictors column
Right click and choose Insert Column from the menu
Add an ID column
Then block, copy and paste into excel and you will pick up the tas
numbers.
