copy calendar exceptions

I have several resources in my project whose monthly operating hours vary.
From May to November of each year, the operating hours are reduced due to
rain. The only way I could think to set this up was to create a calendar,
(for example, Dozer), and use exceptions for May-November in each year to
reduce the operating time.
Now I want to make a calendar for Trucks. However, when I copy the Dozer
calendar and save it as Trucks, it has lost all of the exceptions.
Any suggestions on how to keep these exceptions?
Thanks, Drew

Hi,

What version of Project and what SP level?

In Project 2007 SP1 I created a new base calendar and added an exception. I
then created a second base calendar as a copy of the first and the exception
was copied as expected.

Hi Rod,
Mine says "Project 2007 (numbers) SP1 MSO (more numbers).
Ok, I did it again - went into Tools... Change Working Time... selected my
calendar and pushed the Create New Calendar button.

Aha, it now seems to work?!
But when I look back at what I did the other day, it didn't retain the
exceptions in the original calendar either...
I think what has happened is that with so many calendars that are very
similar in name, I may have copied the wrong one (that did not have any
exceptions to copy over).

Looks like a case of operator (read IDIOT) error!!
Thanks,
Drew
