I am trying to setup a sheet which i copy data (sports stats)from internet
site to excel, but when i paste some of the data (eg. score 4-3)it changes to
a date as the data. Is there anyway you can setup so data will stay as
orginally is on web page?

You didn't post the url but try this
place your cursor in the field you want>right click>export to microsoft
excel>>

If you import the data through Data>Import External Data>New web Query you
can specify that 4-3 types are not imported as dates.

I could not get the external query to work but when I did a direct copy I
did not get the date redirection

sorry to bug you again ,i didn't realize this link just went to start page.
When you click on one of the teams (eg. ANAHEIM) the team page comes up stats
with heading for among other things "Score" ,this column changes to date when
i copy and paste to excel 2003.

Thanks again !
