COPY FORMULA FROM ONE WORKBOOK INTO ANOTHER WORKBOOK

HI, I AM HAVING TROUBLE WITH OFFICE XP EXCEL, WHEN I COPY FORMULAS FROM ONE WORKBOOK AND PASTE IT INTO ANOTHER IT INSERTS A LINK TO THE WORKBOOK THAT I COPIED IT FROM INTO THE FORMULA AND ALL I WANT IS THE FORMULA, I HAVE TRIED PASTE SPECIAL OPTIONS AND IT STILL INSERTS THE LINK. AS YOU CAN PROBABLY TELL I HAVEN'T BEEN USING EXCEL FOR VERY LONG I USED LOTUS FOR YEARS BUT I HAD TO GET INTO THE 21ST CENTURY....... THANKS FOR ANY HELP YOU CAN GIVE ME ............ EARL

If you copy just a few formulas copy them from the formula bar, if you copy
a lot,
do an edit>replace, replace the = with a=, copy and paste, then in both
workbooks reverse the replace
and replace a= with =

Finally,please refrain from using all caps, it is considered rude (all caps
= shouting)
