Copy formula from one workbook to another without reference to 1st

I'm trying to copy formulas from one workbook to another with links to the
same worksheets that are in both workbooks, but when i copy and paste, or
copy and paste special, it links the 2nd workbook back to the 1st workbook
with the formula as follows:

='[1200-07.xls]Operating'!AE66

I would like it to appear as follows:

='Operating'!AE66

Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated. Thanks in advance for your
help.

Hi Scott,

Highlight the the formula when it's in the formula bar at the top of the
sheet then press ctrl -C them move it and paste it.

Assuming destination workbook has been saved.

Edit>Links>Change Source.......select current workbook and OK

The [1200.xls] will be gone leaving = 'Operating'!AE66

Thank you so much! I had hundreds of cells that got jacked, and this saved me hours.
