copy formula

I am trying to copy a formula from one sell to several other cells.
I want to add up all the cells in a column with the total at the bottom
in d51, I have pressed auto sum for this single cell and included all
the cells that I want d2:d49 but when I try to copy the formula to
other cells in row d51 its also copying the figure from that cell.

Any help would be grate Thnaks.

"row d51" does not make sense. d51 is a cell, not a row. Do you mea
you want to copy the formula to cells to the right of d51? Do you hav
columns to right of column d filled with data, and you want to copy th
formula to those columns

If all you want to do is get the total for cells (not
Sells) d2:d49, all you have to do is say =sum(d2:d49)
in cell d51.

Then highlight d51, choose copy, then copy it wherever
you want and paste it.

That's it.
