copy from word and paste some special character appear

Hi,
This is a question related to copy from word and paste in an textarea in an
jsp page.

See Copy some text from Microsoft word and paste in an text area in a jsp
page,
the problem that you will see is some valid(ascii) charcter get's converted
to special (extended ascii) charachter in the text area. Can any body knows
the reason for the same.

What is a jsp page and does copy/paste work OK in other circumstances (e.g.
one part of a Word document to another)?

Yes Copy paste work ok in other circumstances, infact if i copy from word to
notepad or any other text editor it works ok, but if we try to copy a word
doc text and paste it in an textarea of html the special character comes for
some character for e.g. ' - "
