Copy Internal Links when Copying a Summary Tasks

In some projects, when I copy a summary task it copies the links between its subtasks.

In others, the links are not copied.

What controls if the links are copied or not?

That's an interesting question that I don't know the answer for. I do
know that how you select tasks for copying (correct way is to select the
"ID" field to get all information held about the task) is important.
Further, based on my experimentation right now, you have to copy the
selected task when the subtasks are not opened. Project takes all the
subtasks (apparently) when subtasks re nowt show. Then, how you point to
the destination location makes a different. Simply pointing to a task
name work. You should select the target row by clicking your mouse
pointer on the ID field.

Also, if this behaviour is happening differently in different files, it
might be how could be set for linking different (See Menu:
Tools/Options, Tab: Schedule, then see "auto link inserted or moved
tasks". (I didn't experiment with that).

I have found out that if the project is saved to the server (2007) the links are NOT copied, and if the project is saved locally the links do get copied.

I need the links to get copied also on the server.

How?
