copy/paste a Table

I've created a Table in Publisher 2007, but it will not copy/paste to another
Publisher publication. Paste Special does not work. I then saved it as a
file, but Save As and Insert File does not work. What will work? Thank you.

Open the Office Clipboard from the Edit menu in both publications. Can you see
the table in the clipboard task pane? Can you copy/paste other objects?

.
It shows up in the clipboard as a blank space bordered by a black rectangle

Mary -- Just now I've also attempted to copy/paste one page of a 16-page
newsletter to a new Publisher file, so that I can send that one page to
another person rather than the entire newsletter. I've done that with
Office/Publisher 2003 many times. But with 2007 I got an error report. It's
one problem after another with 2007. Are any updates in the works? If not,
I'm ready to go back to 2003.

What is the error report? Do you have a details button? What does it say?

Have you installed the Office updates? It might help to do a disk clean-up.

I can't duplicate this problem.
I've even created table in 2007 and pasted into a 2003 publication.

Make sure:
You are actually selecting the table. Table > Select Table then Copy
Not pasting it into another object...try it to a blank area of a page.

OK. Today it worked, yesterday it didn't. Must be something I'm doing, or not doing sometimes. Thanks for your help. I'll download Office2007 updates. Thanks again!

I wasn't using Select Table. But even doing that, only the type in the Table was pasted into the blank page. The cell borders were not.

I see you got it fixed.
Sometimes (I think) you have to dump your temp files or reboot.

.
Rob: Not really fixed. It didn't paste the Table cells, just the figures, so doesn't look like a table. ALSO -- I just tried to get an Excel table into a Publisher page. The table copied to the clipboard, but would not paste into the page.

I do it ALL the time, you have to make sure you are selecting the
table...not just highlighting the text and copying that.

I think I'll do something like that. Or -- I was able to create the table
okay on one of the newsletter pages, so I will keep it there, and key new
figures into it every month. My problem was sending the table via email to
our treasurer and having her send it back each month, then pasting the new
one back in. Didn't work. She can just send me the new figures. Thanks to all
of you for your help. You are good people!

and is she sending it back as an attachment or in the body of the message?
if in the body of the message that could be your problem.
