I am using Word 2002 SP3 and installed the Office security updates (in
October). I'm not sure the updates have anything to do with this, it's
probably coincidental but it never happened until recently.
When I copy text from an email or from a website, Word stops responding.
Usually it's a large amount of text, but sometimes it can be no more than a
paragraph. I don't get an error message -- the hour glass appears and stays
and when I click on the X to close the Word window, "this program is not
responding" appears in the title bar and then I get a message saying that the
program is not responding and it closes. There is no mention of memory issues
(I have lots of memory).
Any ideas as to why this has started all of a sudden and how to fix it?
Thanks,
