Copy/Paste dropping cells

A couple of our users are working on some large spreadsheets. They
are on office xp with win2k. Whenever they highlight an area of cells
and copy, then paste elsewhere, several of the cells are not getting
copied over, just blanks. These aren't formulas or anything funky,
just numbers. Any idea what could be causing this?

I've never seen excel do this.

Any chance that you're pasting into a range that has hidden rows and you just
can't see the results?

(Have you actually seen this happen or is this a verbal complaint? Lots of
problems become non-reproducible when others are watching. <vbg>)
