Copy/Paste function suddenly stops working

I have had this happen 4 times now...and my colleague experiences it randomly
as well. I'll be working in a PowerPoint 2007 file (XP Pro on my machine) and
suddenly the copy/paste or cut/paste functions stop working. Not only the
Ctrl + C shortcuts, but the actual items are greyed out on the ribbon. I am
not doing anything unusual...and it had been working moments earlier, then,
without warning...it stops. No error message, just stops working. All else in
the file works fine...even the duplicate function. But usually I am trying to
copy a shape or text box from one slide to another, so duplicate doesn't help
me in this situation.

I must reboot my computer to get the functionality back...and then it's fine
for months at a time...until it happens again.

Anyone else having this issue? Is it a bug in 2007?

Unfortunately you've posted to the Mac PPt group. Where you want to be is:

Although it could be a Windows issue or something not directly associated
with PPt.
