copy paste inconsistency in EXCEL

L

ltl

when I copy and paste a formula from one cell to another.
The relative formula displays correctly in the new cell,
but displays the value from the first cell. Example:

The formula in A5 is =SUM(A1:A4)
I copy and paste that cell into B5
The formula in B5 is =SUM(B1:B4) which is what I'm
looking to do. However, the value displayed is that of A5.
Pressing F9 doesn't recalculate the value in B5. If I
double click on the B5 cell and hit <enter> the cell
shows the proper sum.

If anyone else has run into this and solved it, drop me
an email.

Oops!

You did say you tried F9 but no change.

F9 should do a re-calc even if set for "Manual".

Try SHIFT + F9 to re-calc just that sheet.
