copy/paste is not working only in word?

My copy/paste function is not working, but it is only in MS Word, not in
other modalities? Can anyone help?

If you're trying to use Ctrl+C to copy and Ctrl+V to paste, then possibly
these keyboard shortcuts have been reassigned to other commands? To reset
all keyboard shortcuts to their Word defaults, in Word click on Tools |
Customize | Keyboard | Reset All.

And if you have Word as part of Works Suite and are copying before starting
Word and trying to paste into Word, then you need to know that the Microsoft
Works Suite Add-in for Word (among its many nasty habits) clears the
Clipboard when starting Word. If you're running Word freestanding (not
starting it from the Works Task Launcher), you can safely uninstall the
add-in (through Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs), and you will be much
happier.
