Copy/Paste Oddity

We have several users working on IBM T40 laptops who have
a problem with copy/paste. Many times when they click on
Edit/Copy then Edit/Paste, they receive a graphic as if
they were using the Print Screen button. The clipboard
will also show a graphic which consists of a W for Word
and then a cylinder and a pyramid. Has anyone seen this
and if so, how can it be corrected. They are using a Y
connector with an external keyboard and mouse.

Are you referring to the view of the Clipboard in Word 2002/2003?

If so, click the Options button at the bottom, which allows you to disable
this feature.

We are currently using Word 2000. The graphic will
appear in the document where he/she is attempting to
paste the text they have copied using Edit/Copy from the
menu. Another person uses the Edit/Copy and the paste
icon and has the same issue. All are using Word in
Office 2000 on a Windows 2000 operating system.
