Our business recently upgraded from Office '03 to '07. I have PP slides that
I need to place into Publisher. Each slide contains text boxes and images.
When I cut and paste (by lassoing all the items), Publisher merges all the
items, text and images, into one image. This is a large project that I've
been assigned and cutting and pasting each item independently is not a
time/cost efficient option.

When I would perform this is version in '03, i would still have independent
editable text boxes. Why does Publisher '07 only paste as images

I think it is the way PowerPoint is doing images. Maybe you can ask this in a
PowerPoint forum.

Have you tried "paste special?" Have you opened the Office clipboard in the
Edit menu? You can collect 24 items.

Paste special, you have choices. Text can be pasted formatted or not. Pictures
can be pasted as different formats. If you copy from the Internet and do a
straight paste, all the tables paste too.
