copy& paste resume from "my documents"

Just bought office home & student and i am a novice. I am trying to copy my
resume from "my documents" to a employers site. the copy and paste are not
highlighted and therefore not avalible. what am i doing wrong

Stefan, thanks for the help. It seems that I can copy and paste within word.
when i try to add to a job site i am able to cut from word, when i try to
paste it to the resume portion of the website the cop,paste portions are
"greyed out" very frustrating

Ctrl+V is a shortcut for Paste that works across all Windows applications,
but it is unlikely that pasting a Word-formatted
résumé will be productive if the site requires unformatted text.
