Copy Paste

I am experimenting and learning visio. When I use multiple pages , and try to
copy different items (shapes, text) from one page to another, It is always
pasted centered on the new page, and not at the exaxt same location as it's
origin on the original page. Is there a way to paste on the same position?
Thanks,
Eira

I agree that it would be nice to paste to the same location on the new page.
Here is one way to accomplish that task.

Go to the View menu to show the Size & Position window. Then select all the
shapes you wish to copy and group them using Ctrl+Shift+G. Now look at the
PinX and PinY values in the Size & Position window. Copy the group and
paste it to another page. Type the same values you read into the Size &
Position window. Finally, Ungroup the shape using Ctrl+Shift+U.

A very limited solution, I'm afraid... Visio does not even allow to group
organigram-shapes into groupshapes, only unlinked text shapes and lines..

BTW, it seems like a method they used in the 1980's. Is there a reason this
works so backward?
