On occasion, I get the following error message when copying files from C: to A:
Cannot copy (file name): The directory or file cannot be created:
The weird thing is if I replace the disk, I can copy that same file but it
could happen to another file. Pulling my hair out...Have reloaded 2000, have
changed disk brands, have replaced A: Drive

Are you definitely COPYING the doc to the floppy? You should never save
directly to a floppy (or any other removable media) because of the way that
Word creates temp files in the target folder whilst saving. Always save to
your local HDD and then use a COPY to floppy command. Also, make sure that
you format the floppy on your computer - even if you buy preformatted
floppies.
