I am following instructions found elsewhere in this forum to copy my
old Outlook 2002 PST file structure and contents to a newly created OL
2007 PST. I've created my new PST, made it the default delivery
location for new mail, and now I am trying to get everything over.
I started with my Drafts folder, which contained 92 items in my old
PST. I followed the specified procedure (Right-click on Drafts folder
in old PST, drag to root of new PST, release the button and select
Copy) but I only ended up with 66 items in the new PST.
Any idea what happened?
I must admit, there were separate instructions for default folders
(Open the old PST folder, CTRL-A, right-click and drag to the
corresponding folder in the new PST, choosing Copy when releasing the
mouse button). But I wasn't clear on what constitutes default vs. non-
default folders for purposes of these instructions so I followed the
non-default folder instructions for the Drafts folder contents.
Which folders specifically are default folders?
Should I just delete the entire Drafts folder I have now in the new
PST and try again with the CTRL-A default folder instructions? If
so, which other folders should I consider default folders for purposes
of copying folder and file contents to my new PST?
