Copy Word 2003 Autotext to Word 2007

Can I copy my existing Autotext in Word 2003 to Word 2007. My secretarial
users usually share this out by copying Normal.dot to one another. We keep a
large number of addresses in this way.

Make a copy of the Normal.dot that contains the AutoText entries (name it
something else) and store it in

%appdata%\Microsoft\Document Building Blocks

You may have to restart Word to make it pick up the entries.

If that Normal.dot contains any macros, it's a good idea to remove them from
the copy before moving it to Document Building Blocks.

An easy way to remove the macros is to open the Normal.dot file that
contains the AutoText entries using Word 2007, save it as a .dotx file (not
..dotm), saying Yes to the appropriate prompts to remove the macros. When
stored where Jay indicates, it will then be used as a building block file,
with AutoText entries appearing in the list in the AutoText gallery.

As you might have discovered, Word 2007 does not have AutoComplete for
AutoText entries at this time. Instead, you can expand entries by typing the
first few letters of the entry's name (enough of the name so that what
you've typed is unique), and then press F3 to expand it to the full address.
Or, you can use the Building Blocks Organizer to select from the full list
(Insert tab, Quick Parts, Building Block Organizer).

While my fellow MVPs have explained how to transfer the autotext to 2007,
the lack of autocomplete may be a signal to adopt an alternative plan for
stored addresses. May I suggest you consider Outlook contacts instead? Then
