Hi, I am having problems copying and pasting in MS Project. If I cop
and paste tasks from one project to another. The dates and duration i
the new project gets changed. It is not the same as the old project. Wh
does this happen

Hi baller9,

I would suggest that the settings between the two projects are not the same.
Make sure that the project calendars are the same, make sure that the task
calendar for each task is set the same on both projects. I am assuming (bad
tacticcs I know) but the links are all the same and the start date for both
projects are the same, and the start date for the first start task is the
same. Check your project calendar and task calendars first though and make
sure they are exactly the same in settings including the calendar options.

Take a look at your predecessor relationships, they may need additional edit
after your paste. If you are copying lines 18-25 from one schedule and
pasting it to lines 67-74 in the new schedule you will run into problems with
predecessors that fall outside the 18-25 range in the old schedule.
