copying a control in form design view

If i highlight a control, copy it (Ctl-C) and then paste it (Ctl-V), the
new control is placed underneath the first, left aligned, with a certain
spacing between it and the first. Does anyone know how Access
determines what this spacing is?
P.S. It appears that NewControl.Top is always a multiple of 1/96" (15
twips).

i often create a vertical column of buttons and want to force the
spacing between them.

I underdstand. But it is fairly easy to line them up vertically with the
spacing you want.
(1) Put the first one where you want it.
(2) Put the *last* one where you want it.
(3) Select them all (first through last inclusive), then
(3) Use Format : Vertical Spacing : Make Equal.
(I think that is the name of the option - I don't have Access here to
check.)
