Copying A Table from the Web into Word

I can copy the second of the two tables found at each of the URLs below
intact into a Word 2003 doc, but not the first. What's the difference? The
first seems Java based. The first one ends up as just text, while the second
one contains to the borders too.

i didn't have any trouble either with
direct copy n paste or
opening the http via file open in word03.....

i noticed that the first one didn't have and html extension
