Copying and task pane pop-up really annoying

Hi,

When I copy contents from Excel 2003 (after a few copies, Ctrl+C), the task
pane will be displayed. This is really annoying. Is there a way to tell
Excel not to display that task pane?

Thanks.

I agree. I hope you get a solution. I think it is what is termed the Office Clipboard. Seems to me if you disabled the Office Clipboard in Tools (Can we?) that should stop the issue. I think the Task Pane pops up when the Office Clipboard decides it's time to hassle us.

IIRC there is a checkbox on the pane to disable it.

I found no checkbox, but there is an "Options" button. Thanks for the info.
By the way, what is IIRC?

I think Microsoft should revisit that auto pane thing, I don't think it is a
good usability idea.
