Copying animated .gifs into Word but they are not animating?

I am trying to insert an animated .gif file into word, no problem inserting
but then it doesn't animate, can't figure out why not....is there a feature
that could be turned off?

Animated GIFs will not be animated in Word unless the document is saved as a
Web page and viewed in a browser.
