The following happens to a couple of our users: When you highlight a
group of documents to copy and attach to an email, the email that is
received on the other end has the names of the original documents but
each attachment no longer shows its true size, but rather reflects the
size of the first document - and when you open the attachments, each
one is a copy of the first attachment.
To troubleshoot, I had one of the users go into her sent items and we
opened each of the four attachments she had sent previously and I saw
four different documents. She then highlighted all four attachments,
right clicked and chose copy and then opened a new email and pasted
the attachments (a process she has done thousands of times without
issue) - and right there, the names of the original four documents
stayed, but the size changed to reflect the first attachment, and sure
enough, when we checked each of the attachments, the contents of the
first attachment is what appeared.
Next, we went through the same exercise, except that instead of using
the copy feature, we used the drag and drop method and dragged the
attachments from her sent item email onto a new email and the
attachments were fine - all four were the correct document.
So, if anyone can offer any insight or suggestions as to what might be
causing this phenomenon, and/or how we could fix it, we will be EVER
so grateful!!
Thanks!!
