Copying backend database

[Beginner]

Hi everyone!

I am wondering if it is safe to copy a backend database from the frontend.
Currently I am just doing it with "application.compactrepair", so that the
backend file is copyed to a location and at the same time compacted and
repaired.

Would normal copy-paste be a better solution? (The fontend would be closed
then)

Hi,
do not see any problem there, any solution will work, just be sure that you
make a backup before you run compact
