Copying Color-Coded Text and Pasting it in that format to Word

How do I copy color-coded texts from EXCEL to WORD in the same format?

In the past, I used "Paste Specials" then "Picture (Enhanced Metafile)" and
I could paste all color-coded texts from EXCEL in the same format into WORD.
However, recently when I copy color-coded texts from EXCEL to WORD, they
simply appear Black/White.

Please help!!

What changes have you made between the past and present?

Could be a clue there?

These are the steps I would take.

SHIFT + Edit>Copy Picture>As shown on screen>as picture>OK

Open a Word doc and Edit>Paste Special>Enhanced Metafile

Unfortunately Gord's method results in the cell lines being shown as well. I
used to just copy the Excel text, go to Word >edit>paste special> windows
metafile and everything came across fine. I now have a new computer, with the
same software versions (Office Professional 2003), but the text come across
black. I have Office Student & Teacher at home and using the process above,
the text comes across in colour without the lines. This suggests to me there
is some set up in either Word or Excel on my new computer which is causing
the problem. Very frustrating.

Any help in solving this problem would be appreciated - thnaks

You could turn the Gridlines off before copying the picture (and turn them
back on again afterwards). Click Tools/Options to bring up the Options
dialog box, click the View tab... the checkbox controlling the visibility is
in the "Window options" section at the bottom of the dialog page... the
label for the checkbox is "Gridlines".

Did you think of removing gridlines or making background color white before
taking the picture?

Yes thank you, I have looked at removing the gridlines, but did not think
about making the background white. This will help, but it would have been
nice to know what has caused the problem, given the same version of the
software worked fine on an earlier laptop and my Student @ Teacher 2003
version at home brings the text across to Word in colour without having to
use the steps suggested.
