Copying Customised Toolbars from one PC to another.

Hi,

MS Access 2003.

I heavily-customise many of the toolbars in MS Access, but when moving to a
new PC it always takes quite some time to manually re-configure MS Access on
the new machine.

Is there a file/files (or Registry settings) with these personalised
settings in, that I can copy between PCs, so as to avoid having to re-create
manually each time; both MS Excel and MS Word have this facility, but I have
not been able to discover such a file for Access.

Kev,

Could you just import the Toolbar definitions from an existing
database? To do this go to File -> Get External Data -> Import. Find
the database to import the toolbar from, click Options >> in the
Import Objects form and tick the Menus and Toolbars box. Click OK to
import the custom toolbar/menu.

Peter,

Don't think this would work - should have stated that the toolbars are
actually the standard Microsoft ones - not new ones - that I have customised
(amended).

As these are the standard MS ones, when set up for one database on a
specific PC they then reflect my changes for whatever Access d/b that I
create or use on that specific machine.

As a consequence, they are 'native' to a specific PC as opposed to a
specific database.

Kev,

I see what you mean now. You are probably right, I would guess those
toolbar settings are stored in the Registry. I try to steer clear of
making changes to the registry in my client's PCs, just too risky.
