Copying Data Source Between Forms

The Merg

I have two different forms in InfoPath that I would like to use parts of to
create a new form. I am trying to copy sections from one form into the other,
but when I do that only the formatting and controls get copied over. The data
source/fields do not get copied over. I cannot seem to find how to move
fields from one data source over to another.

If anyone can help me with this it would be appreciated. I would hate to
have to create all of the fields in the data source over again in the new
form.

Thanks,
Merg

Okay. I was looking at that. I'll keep checking into it. I really don't need
any code per se as it's just something for me. Is it possible to take a
current form template and make it a Template Part? My goal is to merge the
generic Issue Tracking (Detailed) and the Service Request templates that
come with InfoPath into one form.

Thanks,
Merg

Today's problems don't worry me,
I haven't solved yesterday's yet.

Hey Merg,
Have you tried creating a Template Part, basically you can add the
controls and data source required then use that part in other forms.
the only caveat here however is you can't put any code behind it.

Hope this helps
